Issue 2 was retailed at RM 19.90 at the local news stands. I bought it quite some time ago and only stated my build about a week ago. Issue 2 came with a free needle file. For this issue, I would be adding two more frames to the keel and assemble the anchor.

I stated with the frame first. This would give ample time for the PVA glue to dry while i work on the anchor. Nothing fancy during the frame construction. Quite straight forward. A total of two frames were supplied in this issue.
Next, I started to work on the anchor. I faced some difficulties in making the hole large enough to insert the anchor. I didn't want to over cut as it would make the anchor loose in the frame. I wanted to get a tight fit. After some time, I managed to get the hole exactly as I wanted it to me.
After the two pieces has dried, its time to do the ropes that will bind the frame of the anchor. After binding them, I diluted some PVA glue with water and then placed some on the binding to secure it further.
Once the glue has dried, I snipped of the ends and proceed with the rest of the anchor assembly. Here is the finished anchor.
That is all for issue 2. In issue 3, I will be making a carronade and extending the keel further. I will also have more additions to the bow. The carronade was a real challenge, especially the brass parts. More on that in my next posting.
