In issue 4, I will complete the bow framing and continue the assembly of another of Victory's rib frame. I will also continue with the rigging of the first of two Victory Carronade. The bow framing and assembly of the rib frame is straight forward. I spent some time cutting out the parts from the frame. Once removed, I sanded down the cut joints with a 240 grade sandpaper to even it out.
Once done, its time to glue the parts together and leave it aside to let the glue dry.
Next came the carronade. As mentioned previously, I had a lot of difficulties with the carronade. I had problems in fixing the axis for the wheels. Somehow, the holes on the wheels and the holes on the brass frame. In the end, I decided to just use super glue to glue the wheels to the frame. I will be making cosmetic adjustments in the future to make it not look too obvious. I plan to do some research on the colour scheme for the carronade and paint it accordingly. Well, here are some photos of my miserable looking carronade.
That is all for issue 4. In issue 5, 6 precision cut ribs will be provided to further extend the forward part of the hull.
